Debbie Johnsey on Moxy – Montreal 1976
British rider Debbie Johnsey on Moxy just missed out on a medal finishing fourth individually in the Montreal Olympics in 1976. Debbie was elected Daily Express Sports Woman of the year 1976 and was ranked as Number One lady rider in the world for four consecutive years.
Here she is seen over the last fence of the almost impossible treble combination in the second round of the individual course in Bromont, Montreal 1976. This was a birch treble combination, consisting of A-triple over water, B-vertical over water and a long distance to C-huge oxer. It was the last obstacle of the course and very few managed to reach over that last pole.
