Goesta Asker – Date Up
Today we congratulate Gösta Asker on his 65th birthday. Gösta has a lifetime’s experience of international show jumping, both as an active rider and as a trainer. He was Chef d’equipe for the Swedish team durung the 2010 FEI Super league. Gösta Asker was a champion rider in Sweden on horses like Eartha Kitt and Escargot before he moved to England in 1974. Based in the UK he continued his career with international victories on Date Up and Adam among others. He won the Falsterbo Derby in 1981 and rode at the World Championships in Dublin 1982. Now he runs his own equestrian business at Heathfield Park near Oxford.
