Remembering Graziano Mancinelli, who was born on this day 75 years ago.
Graziano Mancinelli (* February 18, 1937 in Milan, † October 8, 1992 in Brescia) was a very succesful Italian rider in the 1960′s and 1970′s winning medals at Olympic Games, World and European Championships. He partecipated at five Olympic Games from 1964 to 1984. He was not allowed to compete at Olympics in Rome 1960 because he was considered a professional. His biggest success was winning the individual gold medal at the 1972 Olympic Games in Munich, on the Irish bred gelding Ambassador. His best horses were all Irish; The Rock, Rockette and Ambassador.
